The On the Boards Theatre Company is an excellent destination for performance, rehearsal, and training. We offer five large studios, with one of them being a Black Box Studio Theatre that can accommodate up to sixty people in a cabaret-style layout. Our studios come equipped with Tarkett flooring, mirrors, sound systems, and ballet barres, and we provide 10 stage rostra and 4 black flats for hire. A piano keyboard can also be rented. We offer hourly, daily, and weekly fees, with special rates for Arts Industry workers. A fee may be charged for setting up the space according to your needs, so please feel free to discuss your ideas with us so we can ensure the success of your event.
Margo Fonteyn Studio/ Black Box Theatre
The Margot Fonteyn Studio Theatre is a 20 x 10 space with a high ceiling when set up in a studio format. It can be extended into a black box theatre by adding the adjoining Gene Kelly studio. In this configuration, the theatre measures 20 x 17 and can accommodate up to 60 people in cabaret format. It is suitable for performances, dance, acting, music, yoga, and functions. The theatre comes equipped with a lighting rig of LED lights, black curtains, a TV screen and DVD player, and a P.A sound system. (Discounts available for Arts Workers)
Gene Kelly Studio
Measuring 10x8, the Gene Kelly Studio is an excellent place for activities like dancing, acting, yoga, and music. Featuring a Tarkett flooring and sound system, this studio provides a superior rehearsal and activity experience. Additionally, it connects to the Margot Fonteyn Studio Theatre, and when the partitions are opened, it doubles as the seating area for the theatre. (Discounts available for Arts Workers)
Babara Streisand Studio
The Barbra Streisand Studio, measuring 3x4 is an ideal space for music and singing lessons, as well as rehearsals. It is equipped with a piano keyboard and ample seating, making it the perfect place to practice and perfect vocal lessons and rehearsals.
Audrey Hepburn Studio
The Audrey Hepburn studio is a cozy 10 x 6 space, perfect for smaller rehearsals in the fields of Dance, Acting, Music, and Other. It is fitted with Tarkett flooring, a piano keyboard, and a sound system, providing all the necessities for a successful practice. (Discounts available for Arts Workers)
Bob Fosse Studio
